been wanting to try this place and glad that we stopped by here. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! got the crispy pork belly bahn mi… instead of the traditional baguette, they used a flatter softer bread but still crunchy on the outside. the pork itself was full of flavor and the serving size is filling. more power to this small business, we’ll definitely be back!

New favorite spot for lunch! Great atmosphere, friendly owners and the food… is just amazing I love everything! the chicken pho and pho French dip are my top choices but they just added a curry dish with Persian bread that is too good for words They have plants in cool pots for sale also. I came home with a new house plant. Yay!

I stumbled into Sesame Dinette in a strip mall south of downtown Long Beach—quiet, unpretentious, and serving excellent Vietnamese food. My pho French‑dip banh mi on Persian bread was surprisingly rich, with tender meat and savory jus. Service was warm and unhurried, and the interior felt boutique yet neighborhood‑friendly. I also loved their classic beef pho, perfect blend of clean broth and noodles. Definitely a hidden gem that locals cherish.

My boyfriend and I have been to Sesame Dinette many times, and it’s truly one of our favorite spots. It’s a hidden gem—really cute inside with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The Pho French Dip is absolutely amazing, and the Brisket Pho is just as incredible. The broth is what really sets it apart—deeply flavorful, rich, and truly something special. You can tell a lot of care goes into it. A big reason we keep coming back is Mike. He’s so kind, attentive, and genuinely great at building connections with customers. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the people make you feel so at home. Highly recommend!

Such a cute little Vietnamese spot! Got the blue crab imperial rolls (see pic) and the braised tofu vermicelli! Best tofu vermicelli I’ve ever had, sweet braised tofu, perfectly cooked noodles..it was perfect! The blue crab imperial rolls were crispy and complemented with fresh veggies! Their matcha oat milk latte was just the pick me up I needed and was delicious!!

Long Beach is becoming a food hub rivaling LA. It can go toe to toe with DTLA and its neighborhoods. Straight up. Sesame dinette is another punch . It hits. Delicious banh mi and meatballs..yes I said meatballs. Everything is sexy and succulent. On top of all that a vegan Vietnamese coffee topped with salted pandan. That’s crazy.

This Vietnamese spot quietly sits inside a bland strip mall but surprises in every bite. The pho was rich and fragrant, and their pho‑French‑dip banh mi served on Persian bread was unforgettable. I appreciated how inventive yet respectful their flavor combinations stayed. Seating is minimal, but the staff are attentive and efficient. It’s precisely the sort of hidden gem locals appreciate—not glossy, just excellent food
